Ring in the New Year

I feel today is an excellent day to sit and write. Andrew is playing video games and my precious baby is sound asleep. Last night was New Year’s Eve, we had fettuccini alfredo for dinner, with sparkling apple cider. This is a tradition we started about three years ago, when he asked me to marry him. It is amazing to look back at that moment in time and remember how that was such a turning point in our lives. We’ve grown so much, changed so much, and have learned so much since that moment. I remember this day three years ago I went into sonic speed mode to plan a wedding in 6 months. I never really just stopped to think about where we were, and how this was one of those moments that divides time, or to look back at how far we’d come.

Last night we decided to add to our tradition. We had two pieces of paper, on the top of one we wrote “All in one year” and wrote down all the things that had happened in this year, I felt like it was a way for us to look back and see all that has happened this year alone, a way to remember, and a way to feel like we have accomplished something.

On the other paper we wrote “Goals for 2014” this was where we dreamed, with intentions of turning it into reality. I feel like this is a way for us to look forward with anticipation and excitement at what is in store for this next year!

As we go into this New Year I am so thankful for where we are, we have so many blessings. I am so looking forward to what this New Year hold in store for us. It will be full of highs and lows I’m sure. But I know with one and other, and God we can make the best of anything this world throws at us! I hope you all have had a chance to look back and be thankful, and have a chance look forward and get a glimpse of what this this next year may have in store for you. Till Next time Happy New Year!
Blessings,

Jolene
