There is always good sometimes you just have to look for it

Sometimes in life you take a moment to just sit back and look at your life and realize that you are immensely blessed. I just had one of those moments. I can’t believe how truly blessed I am. I have an amazing husband who has really stepped it up over the last few week. An incredible daughter, who truly amazes me every single day! I have an awesome God who calls me his beloved child! It is so hard to believe that this is the life that I have.
A few weeks ago I cut my finger on a glass that broke in my hand while I was cleaning it. It cut my finger very badly, I needed twelve stitches, but hey I trashed the other guy… lol. When this was happening I felt so overwhelmed, I did not know how I was going to be able to do all the things that I was responsible for. Those around me really stepped it up, my family came and helped me care for Madeline, cleaned my house, and drove me places.  We had a friend bring us dinner, and Andrew well he did it all, he cooked, he cleaned, he changed every diaper while he was home, and did a ton more for the care of Madeline. It was so debilitating to not be able to really use one of my hands for the last few weeks. It is now getting back to normal and I am staring to feel like I am getting a handle on life again.
I am so very excited this week as well because we are having our first MOPS meeting at the Bridge Church. I am the new MOPS coordinator, and I am so excited to see where this new ministry goes over the next year. I am hoping it provides a safe and nurturing place to many moms in our community!
Now onto my amazing baby; she is such a sweet little ball of joy! She smiles, and plays. She is learning to roll over, and hold her head up nice and tall. Her favorite toys are the exersaucer for her big one and Sofie the giraffe for the little one. She is learning to sleep through the night and has done so for the past two nights. She is so curious, and loves to explore her world. She loves her feet, they are just the coolest things ever, and sucking her thumb is her new soothing technique. She is a great model for pictures, and loves to pose for mom.
Andrew is an amazing husband; I don’t think I acknowledge that enough! He works so hard every day to provide for us. Then comes home and is still working hard to take care of us, and show us that we are his world. I am so grateful God has blessed me with such a hardworking, God fearing, incredible Man. I honestly have no idea what I would do without him!

God has really been doing a lot of work on me over this past month. I’ve been dwelling on Philippians 4:8 which states “Finally dear brothers and sisters whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable,  if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think of such things.  He has been helping me to learn to look to the good, true things in my life. He wants us to look to Him, he wants us to be all we can be for him. We can only be that when we truly surrender to him, and look to the things that are praiseworthy and admirable. I hope that in the rush of this holiday season you don’t forget to sit back and see that life is truly wonderful, God is always good, and there is always good in life sometimes you simply have to look for it!
